Conditions
How to Apply
Step 1 — Entry Round Submit one free‑choice work (video). No time limit.
Step 2 — Semi‑Final Selected participants submit two contrasting works.
Step 3 — Final Round Finalists perform one work chosen by the jury at the Winners Concert.
Who Can Apply
Young musicians in three age categories — Junior, Intermediate, Senior — open to applicants worldwide.
The conditions for the vocal section are as follows:
- Age groups/categories: Participants will be categorized based on age groups. (e.g., Junior, Intermediate, and Senior)
- Repertoire requirements: Contestants may choose their own repertoire, but the selection should be appropriate for their vocal range and category. Classical, musical theatre, and contemporary styles are accepted.
- Performance duration: Maximum 5 minutes per performance.
- Performers should introduce their piece before starting.
• Resolution: At least 720p or 1080p.
• The background should be simple to ensure the focus is on the performer.
• No editing or special effects are allowed in the recording.
• Performance duration should comply with the specified time limits.
Submission Details:
• Videos should be uploaded to a platform (e.g., YouTube, Google Drive) or submitted directly as a file.
• Include the participant’s name and any relevant details when submitting the video.
Application Process
The following must be received by BIYMF before an application can be accepted:
An application form must be completed on the BIYMF website with a copy of the applicant’s passport or birth certificate for proof of age. All applicable information must be completed.

Repertoire
Competitors for the opening round must record one piece of Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Modern work of their choice performed by memory.
Arrangements, abridged editions or non classical compositions will no be accepted.
Competitors in the opening round must submit a recording of one work from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Modern period, performed from memory.
Arrangements, abridged editions, and non‑classical compositions will not be accepted.
Semifinalists must submit a final program comprising two contrasting pieces, with no prescribed time limit.
Finalists are not required to submit an additional recording. If they choose to provide a new recording, it will be considered for adjudication; otherwise, assessment will be based on performances submitted in the earlier rounds.
For the Winners Concert, the jury will select one work from the finalist’s submitted repertoire for performance.
Judges
The judging panel is composed of a minimum of 5 distinguished, international musicians and all decisions of the panel are final. The judges reserve the right to withhold any prize or award should the required standard not be achieved.
Recordings
The Festival reserves the right to record, film, web-stream or broadcast any part of the Festival events. Competitors must grant BIYMF the sole and exclusive right to use of these recordings.
