On 28th May 2024 five talented string players from the Tagiev Youth Chamber Orchestra had the exceptional privilege of performing at a special event held at the Parliament House in Canberra. The event was organised to celebrate the Independence Day of the Azerbaijan Republic. The performance included the stirring rendition of the National Anthems of both countries, filling the grand halls of the Parliament House with harmonious melodies and patriotic spirit.
Their exceptional performance was warmly acknowledged by the appreciative audience, which included Australian parliament members and ambassadors from countries such as Azerbaijan, Georgia, Brazil, and more. Each member of the Tagiev Youth Chamber Orchestra was honoured with a certificate of appreciation and received thoughtful gifts from Azerbaijan. The young performers were also personally thanked by the ambassador of Azerbaijan Dr Jafarov for their remarkable talent and dedication.
Emin Tagiev, the director of the orchestra, was publicly recognized for his outstanding leadership and invaluable contribution to the arts and culture of Australia.
